West Basin’s SUPER-CALI-FRUGALISTIC drought campaign calls on its local communities to save water. It offers a variety of programs to help residents and businesses save water and money.

West Basin is currently offering a rebate of $3 per square foot of grass removed from residential and commercial landscapes.

Torrance Mandates Organic Waste Recycling

The City of Torrance's organic recycling requirements sets the stage for sustainable practices and environmental responsibility with its Organic Waste Recycling Mandate.

This program will be phased in over several years and will help the state meet its goal to recycle its waste.

Organic waste is defined as food waste, green waste, landscape and pruning waste, nonhazardous wood waste, and food-soiled paper.

Recyclable organic waste accounts for about 40% of all the materials Californians send to landfills each year. Businesses, including public entities, and multifamily complexes are required to recycle their organic waste.

Conserve the World's Most Precious Resource

Golden State has partnered with Flume to offer a $25 rebate incentive for their customers in an effort to conserve water.

Flume is a smart water leak detector and once it's installed customers are able to manage, monitor and conserve water through an app.

To apply for the rebate Golden State customers must first purchase the Flume system and install it in order to get the rebate.
