West Basin Offers Free Commercial Water Use Assessments
West Basin is calling on its retailers and interested businesses in the service area to share water use data that will inform the development of a new assistance program.

Participants will receive valuable insights through a full water use assessment, as well as measures for saving water, money and the environment.

Sites will also receive one-on-one assistance in applying for eligible rebates unique to their business operations. Get the details here.
The City of Torrance Offers Aid and Rebates
for Commercial Property Upgrades
The City of Torrance has allocated funds from its economic development budget to offer rebates to business owners who improve the appearance of their properties.

Priority is given to projects that enhance an areas appearance and address any code compliance issues. 

The Commercial Rebate Program provides financial assistance for beautification, repairs and compliance with local codes. Learn More.  
Improve Your Water Use Efficiency Efforts
Golden State has partnered with the Metropolitan Water District to offer incentive and rebates to assist in Water Conservation efforts.

Customers can participate in the Turf Replacement Program and are eligible to qualify for $2 to $3 per square foot when upgrading to a more water efficient landscape.

Assistant Energy Secretary for Electricity to Keynote 23rd General Assembly
The South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) board of directors invites you to participate in our 23rd Annual General Assembly.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Gene Rodrigues (pictured at left), who was recently appointed as assistant secretary for electricity within the United States Department of Energy by President Joe Biden. He will address energy reliability, resilience and climate change. 

The General Assembly is an opportunity for the region’s thought leaders to gather, share ideas and discuss important issues. The theme for the SBCCOG’s 2023 General Assembly is “The South Bay: Leading the Way in Resilience & Adaptability.”

The conference will feature panel discussions and interactive exhibits. This year’s program will explore how the South Bay is adapting to the potential impacts of climate change to create a more resilient future. The community, as well as county, state, and federal legislators representing the South Bay, are invited to hear an array of speakers.
