DOUBLE-TOUR!

- Graycliff Estate
Get ready to see some amazing local architecture. Our next two tours will be a Frank Lloyd Wright double-header. On Wednesday, April 12th, we will be going to the Darwin Martin House in Buffalo. Then on Thursday, May 11th, we will be going to the Graycliff Estate down in Derby.
Registration for these tours opens Thursday March 9th for Members and Thursday March 16th for Non-members. For these two tours, you may register at the same time. Each trip is $10 for members and $15 for non-members, plus an additional $3 for lunch. No refunds for cancellations. Meet time for both trips will be 11 AM at Tosh Collins for lunch with an 11:30 AM departure time. Return time at Tosh is approximately 3 PM. Sign-up with Kim at the front desk.

TAKE A RIDE TO THE CASINO
Gather your lucky charms and get your dollars ready for a trip to the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino. We’ll be taking two groups of 14 downtown on Monday March 20th. Group 1 will be 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Group 2 will be 11:30AM to 3 PM. The cost will be $10 for members and $15 for non-members. You can register with Kim at the front desk and you must pay in advance to save your seat. Lunch will not be provided.

SPRING BREAK PIZZA PARTY
Friday March 24th

To celebrate the beginning of Spring and to mark Executive Director Michael’s 50th Birthday, we will be having a Spring Break Pizza Party on Friday March 24th. The party kicks off at 11:30 AM. The cost will be $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Meatless options will be available. And of course, there will be BIRTHDAY CAKE! Sign up today with Kim at the front desk. It will be a Hawaiian theme, so wear you favorite Hawaiian shirt and grass skirts!

Monday 3/6- Turkey ala king, mashed potatoes, carrots, biscuit, chocolate chip cookies.
Tuesday 3/7- Ham steak w/maple glaze, scalloped potatoes, peas w/red pepper, rye bread, lemon cake with frosting.
Wednesday 3/8- ENTREE SALAD- Beef taco salad w/ taco beef, corn & black bean salsa, shredded cheddar & crispy tortillas, fresh orange, chocolate milk.
Thursday 3/9- Breaded chicken breast w/tomato sauce & shredded mozz over pasta, wax beans, chef salad w/dressing, tropical fruit.
Friday 3/10- Vegetable lasagna w/cream sauce, broccoli florets, grape juice, whole wheat dinner roll, fruited gelatin.

COMPUTER CLASSES FOR SENIORS
Thursdays 1 PM-3 PM
Our computer classes for seniors series has grown in leaps and bounds since we began them in November 2021. This past semester we had to expand to offering two sessions a week to accommodate the demand, filling each session to capacity.
We're thrilled to announce our Spring Semester will begin Thursday February 2nd with another 12 weeks with Brendan Chella from the Buffalo Library. Each week, he will present on a different topic related to computers and technology.

EXERCISE CLASS CARDS
With 5 days of movement classes offered a week at Tosh Collins, we now offer a super discount card for our members! Get 10 classes for $30, that's a saving of $20. The card can be used for any exercise class and do not expire. The Exercise Class Cards will be available only to paid Members. See Kim to purchase one today!

Move & Groove Mondays
Mondays 10AM- 11AM
We warm up and then get moving to some fun medium tempo music from your favorite artists. We work on building strength using light weights as well as balance & coordination. All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing. Every class ends with a cool down, stretches and a smile. $5.

Tai Chi Tuesday
Tuesdays 10 AM- 11 AM
Monica Zucco continues to lead mindful, meditative movements as we gaze upon beautiful Cazenovia Park. All are welcome, no experience necessary, accommodations made. $5.

Mindful Movement & Guided Meditation
Wednesdays 10AM- 11AM
Jessie will guide you through some gentle, chair based movement focused on connecting the breath and the body. This will be followed by a short guided relaxation and Jessie will finish the class by guiding you through a themed meditation. This practice can help ease anxiety and stress. Increase focus, positive feelings and improve overall mood. $5.

Chair Yoga Thursday
Thursdays 10 AM- 11 AM
Jessie will guide you through this gentle chair yoga class that includes simple breath work, seated poses, standing poses using the chair for support and a guided relaxation at the end. This class is beginner friendly. You will leave the class feeling refreshed, relaxed and happy! $5.

Friday Fitness
Fridays 10 AM- 11 AM
Shake your groove thing with Jessie in this accessible fitness class. We will warm-up and get moving to some great music from all different decades. Routines are simple, easy to follow and lots of fun! All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing and are beginner friendly. $5.

Monday Movie Matinees

We’re excited to show movies on our giant television after lunch on Mondays! Grab a seat and some popcorn, and enjoy the show! Movies start at 12:30 pm. For March, we are celebrating Women's History Month!

Nickels - Rummy

Due to popular demand, another exciting card game is coming to Tosh Collins! Join us for nickels (otherwise known as Nickel Nickel) on Monday afternoons. For those
unfamiliar with the game, Nickels is similar to Rummy, with the twist of betting nickels. So bring in your nickel collection and come join us for another thrilling card games experience!

BINGO is back TWICE a week, better than ever! Join us for lunch on Tuesdays and Fridays and stay for BINGO. Prizes for every winner and a 50/50 drawing!

Wednesdays
Noon-4 PM
Open pool practice on our two pool tables Wednesday afternoons for FREE. We'll have a monthly pool tournament the 3rd Wednesday every month. Entry fee for tournament with cash prizes. The super popular activity Wii Bowling is rolling into Tosh Collins Center on Wednesdays! Slots will be scheduled all day long, with 4 players at a time. Join us for Texas Hold Em’ Poker - Beginners are welcome. We will be using nickels to gamble with so don’t forget to bring in your nickels or bring in a couple dollars and we can give you change. The format is Sit & Go so participants can join and leave when needed. Max bet for a hand is 25 cents and we will be playing with one blind which will stay at 1 nickel. No need to RSVP!

The Tosh Collins Center at long last is bringing Pickleball to the gym. Open court times are currently Wednesdays from 5pm to 7 pm. Call (716) 828-1445 to reserve your court time.

Tosh Collins Senior Center
Annual Membership
The South Buffalo Community Association has begun a new annual membership at the Tosh Collins Center for Senior Programs. Throughout 2022, our programs have grown so much with special events, day trips, and classes. On more than one occasion, we’ve sold out and started waiting lists. With this new membership program, our members will have first priority. There will also be pricing discounts on select events and trips. The fee for 2023 will be $10 for an annual membership.
One-year memberships can start anytime of the year. See Kim to start your membership today!
