Gov. Henry McMaster announces the Center for Cybersecurity at SCRA

Governor Henry McMaster announced the creation of the new Center for Cybersecurity at the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA). The Center will lead the implementation of South Carolina’s statewide cybersecurity strategic plan. The plan was developed from a multi-year, comprehensive study completed in 2024 that evaluated the state’s cybersecurity needs, assets, and challenges. Read more.

Wells Fargo Foundation Funds $600,000 to SCRA to help the farming industry

South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers and State Senator Russell Ott announced a new grant program to help South Carolina’s farming industry at the Statehouse today. The Wells Fargo Foundation is providing $600,000 to the South Carolina Research Authority to fund the Cultivating Innovation in SC Agribusiness grant program. The grants are designed to accelerate growth and foster groundbreaking innovation in the state’s farming industry. Read more.
