The Summit will feature inspiring speakers and exciting networking and learning opportunities. This year’s theme is Founders First, celebrating the hard work of founders who are growing our state’s innovation economy.

The summit kicks off with SCRA's Backstage Pass on April 9, where attendees will get a backstage look into SCRA’s Company Review Meetings, where companies pitch to the SCRA team for membership and/or funding. The event will kick off with a cocktail hour and networking at 4:30 p.m.

Day two of the summit will begin with a keynote address, titled Elements of Building a Startup: Leadership, Grit, and Network, which will feature Mastin Robeson, Major General United States Marine Corps (Ret), President of UASidekick, an SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company, and Founder and Chairman of the Board for Upstate Warrior Solution. Learn more and register.

Watch SCRA's Women of Innovation in Life Sciences Virtual Panel

In honor of Women’s History Month, SCRA hosted a captivating panel discussion featuring trailblazing women innovators making significant strides in the state’s thriving life sciences industry. With nearly 88,000 professionals employed in the field, South Carolina boasts the fastest growth in life sciences among southeastern states, contributing $25.7 billion to the state’s economic impact. Three Minutes and One Big Idea: SCRA Judges MUSC’s 3-Minute Thesis Competition

Last month, thirteen students from the MUSC’s College of Graduate Studies’ postdoctoral and medical scientist training programs did just that. They competed in the third annual MUSC 3 Minute Thesis competition. The room was packed with students, faculty, and staff, all in attendance to cheer on this year’s contestants. In addition to the attendees and presenters were five judges, including SCRA Marketing and Communications Director Adrianne Grimes. She had never judged an event like this, but it was a challenge she was certainly up to. Read more.

SCRA Presents Diamond-Level IPF Award to Herndon Chevrolet 

SCRA presented Herndon Chevrolet with the Industry Partnership Fund diamond-level award. This award recognizes Herndon’s support of South Carolina’s innovation economy as a diamond-level contributor.
