Men, please join us Sunday night July 17 after the evening service for a night of informal fellowship and food at the Firepit on the westside of the church property. Bring a chair to sit on, snacks to share (pizza will be provided), and outdoor games (like cornhole) to play. In case of inclement weather, we will meet in the Fireside Room.

Gather with other women Saturday, July 9 (and the second Saturday of every month) at 8:30 AM as we pray for the ministries of our church, community, and world.

Friday, July 22 11:00 AM – 3 PM. Let’s go out to lunch and a trip down memory lane and beyond. First, we will load up the church vans and go out for delicious wood-fired pizza. Then we will head over to Ye Ole Carriage Shop for a personal tour given by the museum’s owner, Lloyd Ganton. Ye Ole Carriage Shop offers a fantastic collection of diversified automobiles and collectable memorabilia. This museum is a delight!

We need more baristas! It is fun & easy, and you will make the multitudes so happy. Coffee makers arrive by 8:30 and are finished at 9:30. Training is provided. Interested? Please email Denver and Dixie Moye or sign up by the coffee in the gathering space.

What is Helping Hands Ministry? |
Sometimes members of our church family have needs they can’t handle on their own. When family is not near, where do you turn? You reach out to your church family, and thankfully, South has an awesome Helping Hands Ministry. Helping Hands Ministry is made up of skilled craftsman & professionals, people with a little muscle, and big-hearted brothers and sisters willing to lend a hand. When someone in our church family has a need they can’t meet, Helping Hands provides labor to meet that need. Helping Hands is love in action. Visit the table in the gathering space to learn more about how you can help or be helped. |

Impact Lansing is a camp is for middle schoolers, and takes place July 10-16. Impact is a great combination of summer camp and service projects that takes place right here at South and in our Lansing community. |
|
Since students from several Michigan churches stay right in our building during the week, we have to feed them 3 meals a day. Becky Piper is overseeing the kitchen during the week, but we are in need of many volunteers to help out.
Our church is specifically in charge of overseeing dinners on Tuesday and Friday nights, so if you are available those evenings, please sign up for that slot! The other dinners are being covered by other churches. All churches are encouraged to sign up for breakfasts and lunches.

The team traveling to Soldotna, Alaska this summer to work at the Solid Rock Bible Camp has room for 4 more team members. The dates are July 16-30 and they are planning to build the last boys’ cabin. The cost of supplies has doubled, so perhaps you would consider a donation to help cover the cost. What is the greatest love you've ever known? Discipleship Explored is a an eight-week journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians which helps Christians think through what it means to be a genuine disciple of Jesus Christ. This course is taught by Pastors Tim and Joel and runs from Sunday, September 18 – November 13 at 6:00 PM in the Fireside Room. Fill out a Connection Card to let us know you plan to attend!
