Kemah Boat Crawl and Galveston Bay Day Sail
Come enjoy a fun-filled day all about boating and a special Galveston Bay Day Sail during the Kemah Boat Crawl! Spend your morning browsing special event-only deals, then hop on board our day sail.
South Coast Sailing is participating in the semi-annual boat show (Kemah Boat Crawl), the only on-the-water open house for boats around! Step aboard brand new boats, quality brokerage boats and take advantage of event only specials, raffles, comaraderie, and have a day of maritime fun.
Start your crawl at Waterford Harbor Marina, 300 Admiralty Way, Kemah.
Click the "R.S.V.P" button below to let us know you're coming and get your QR code. Take your QR code to the LYS registration tent to enter for a free VHF radio from Murray Yacht Sales! While youre at Waterford Harbor, stop by our booth and say "Hello" to Heidi to enter our raffle for one of three exclusive South Coast prizes!
Then crawl to Murray Yacht Sales in Watergate Marina to step aboard brand new Beneteau and Excess Catamaran vessels. Visit the other quality brokerage vessels that will all be open for viewing.
End your crawl at South Coast Sailing Adventures for boat show specials on all of our classes. At 12:30 PM, check in for our day sail (reservations required). Spend the afternoon as crew on our Galveston Bay Day Sail. We will wrap up the day with a casual social, to have a drink and talk about the crawl and the day's sail; because, great days on the water should always end with great company!
Come explore, sail, score some deals, and unwind with us! We can’t wait to see you there!

Catalina 42' is Ready, See Inside!
Second Wind Catalina 42'
It is time to get our students behind the helm of this beauty!
Second Wind is an awesome racing, cruising, and chartering vessel for our school!
Second Wind is the newest addition to the South Coast fleet! She was generously donated by a retired student now living in the Philippines. This vessel was gifted to the Gateway Community Boating Center (GCBC) a 501c3 non-profit organization. GCBC has placed Second Wind in our Vessel Management program to be used in our sailing school, for captain and bareboat charters, club sails, and other cool excursions. Each time the boat is used, a portion of the funds generated go directly back to GCBC to support the center's community work and "Safe Boating Through Education" programs.
Second Wind is a 3 cabin, 2 head model, with traditional hoist mainsail, roller furling jib, chart plotter, autopilot and a shoal draft of 4'10". The interior is both spacious and beautiful, with a design that prioritizes comfort and livability. She is truly a great sailing vessel, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our fleet! She is now available for instruction, racing, chartering, and a variety of other adventures.
| | | | |
She's ready for school!
We are excited to have our students, racing crew, charterers, and South Coast family on Second Wind !

Club Skipper Opportunities
Add to your sailing resume skippering club events
We encourage our sailors who have earned their ASA 101, 103, 104, and 118 Docking certifications to skipper our club events! Stepping into the skipper role is a great way to build confidence, gain real-world experience, and continue developing strong leadership skills on the water. By skippering, you not only get valuable practice in planning, decision-making, docking and crew management, but you also have the opportunity to join in on the fun. As a thank-you for leading a club sail, you’ll receive a special coupon toward an upcoming club event. It’s a rewarding way to grow and keep your sailing journey moving forward! Club sails are held almost every weekend!
