As part of Miami-Dade County’s South Dade TransitWay Project, contractors began widening SW 168 Street between SW 98 Avenue and US-1 during the week of April 17, 2023.

While the construction is ongoing, access to driveways on westbound SW 168 Street will be limited but not closed as crews reconstruct the sidewalk and install new drainage structures critical to the Bus Rapid Transit infrastructure and new parking garage. Construction activities will take place during both AM and PM hours as necessary, with noise and dust in the air expected. Intermittent lane closures may occur on SW 168 Street during the construction, and nightly full closures are scheduled from May 1 through May 5, 2023, between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am (see the detour route on the map below).
