South Downs Foodie News
July 2018

Hello South Downs Foodies,

We say a fond farewell to our friend, the asparagus this month but there is so much else to be excited about if you're a foodie in the South Downs! Watercress, strawberries, gooseberries, spring onions, lamb, crab, mackerel and turbot are all ripe for the eating at the moment and so much local fare can be found at farmers' markets. Our events calendar will let you know when and where the best markets can be found.

Also in our What's On calendar you can find great foodie activities from open days to tours and festivals.

We also have our usual foodie features including a fabulous chef of the month, a very exciting competition for one lucky winner and all the latest news from the region.

Have a glorious July!
