Hello South Downs Foodies,
May is here and we can at last enjoy some fantastic fresh vegetables grown on our own turf. British asparagus has arrived, hooray! Fresh spinach, purple sprouting broccoli and spring onions are all now in our farm shops. And why not try the tender young tops of wild nettles in our hedgerows? Pick them before they flower, give them a good wash and they make a great soup or addition to risotto.
