Turn your clocks ahead 1 hour
It is hard to believe that March is here, and although it doesn’t look or feel like it outside, the first day of spring is right around the corner!

As always, it is such a joy to see the academic and social progress of all of our students. They truly amaze us each and every day.

Report cards will be coming home on Wednesday, March 6. Please remember that a report card is a picture of your child at school. It is a different world from the one at home. Not every child is a straight “A” student. Your child’s teacher knows your child at school, and you know your child at home. The “real child” may be somewhere in between. Report card time offers an excellent opportunity to blend those two images in understanding and acceptance, a time for both you and your child to learn together.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will look a little different this time around. They will be held on March 14 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on March 21 from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. This is one of the best opportunities for you to get current information on your child’s growth and progress this year. Ongoing communication between you and your child’s teacher is important to us.

As always, please feel free to contact us if you ever have any questions or concerns.
2018 - 2019 School Calendar Changes
To make up for the lost instructional time from flooding and winter weather, please remember the following adjustment to our 2018-2019 Student Calendar:

  • Beginning this Friday, March 1st, Early Dismissal on Fridays will be discontinued for the remainder of this school year.
  • Friday, March 22 originally scheduled for Parent-Teacher Conferences will become a full school day for students in Kindergarten through 12th-grade.
  • All 4K students (morning, afternoon, and Head Start) will make up time by attending class on the following Fridays – March 8, 15, and 22. In addition, district 4K students (not in Head Start) will also attend on the following Fridays – April 5, 12, and 26.
