A Message From Our Principals
Although students are no longer earning stamps in their behavior passports, they are earning compliment cards for excellent behavior. When students earn a compliment card from a staff member, they turn those cards into the office to be entered into a drawing for a prize at the end of the week. All compliment cards are posted on the bulletin outside of the main office. We are so proud of the exceptional behavior our students exhibit on a daily basis.

If you were unable to attend Parent-Teacher conferences, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or the school office to set up a time to meet with their teacher(s).

Other reminders:

  • Cooler weather is upon us, so please be sure to send appropriate outerwear for recesses and to dress appropriately for the cooler temperatures.

  • Did you know that if a child reads for 20 minutes every night, they will hear 1.8 million words a year?! Reading with your child every night is proven to help students grow as readers.

Our weather procedure for colder weather is as follows:

Elementary Needs Assessment for Families with Students in Grades 4K-4th
In September 2019, the School District of Reedsburg is opening our new school for students in grades 3 - 5. By opening a new school, we will realize additional space at our current elementary buildings allowing us more placement flexibility. We are asking your assistance in helping us plan for our future enrollments in our various elementary schools.

In addition, our Community Learning Center (CLC) is conducting a needs assessment to gather potential enrollment data for the 2019-2020 school year.

Please take the  Elementary Needs Assessment Survey  ( Encuesta de evaluación de necesidades elementales ) to assist us in determining future needs. This survey will close on November 8th.

Next Steps In New School Naming
Please watch District Administrator Tom Benson as he explains the next steps in the process of naming the new school.

It's Time To Name The New School
The School District of Reedsburg received 262 submissions of potential names for the new school. Thank you to everyone for the great input!

Naming Committee:
A committee was set up to narrow down the name selections with the intent to find a long-lasting name that will serve the greater community into the future. The submission list has been narrowed down to six names .

Time To Vote:
The district would like further input on these names from all of the staff along with students and the community. Please review the six names and  VOTE online for your favorite name for the new school.

Deadline to Vote:
Voting on the new school names will close on Friday, November 9th at Midnight.

Board Decision:
Then at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m., the naming committee will present all of the naming data, the results of the voting along with a recommended name. Following the Board's decision a special new school name unveiling will be held LIVE on the district Facebook page.

School Breakfast is an ideal solution for busy mornings when kids are running late or parents have early work schedules. Oftentimes, kids are not hungry when they first wake up but are ready to eat when school begins.
