A Message From Our Principals
Welcome Back!
It’s hard to believe we are a full month into the school year all ready! Time flies when you’re having fun!

The behavior passport program is up and running, and our students are doing a great job collecting their stamps and meeting the behavioral expectations of the school. We will celebrate our students’ success by taking them bowling this month. The behavior passports will continue to be revisited throughout the school year. We are so proud of the work our students have put in to mastering their behavior expectations.

We want to thank all of our parents and caretakers for your patience and support through the implementation of our new secure entry procedure. We believe that this change in our procedure is essential to the safety of our schools, and we could not make this adjustment without your support. Thank you!

A couple of reminders:

* Cooler weather is upon us, so please be sure to send appropriate outerwear for recesses and to dress appropriately for the cooler temperatures.
Our weather procedure for colder weather is as follows:
If the temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, students should wear coats.
If it is between 50 - 55 degrees, a long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt, or a fleece is acceptable; and if it is 55 degrees or above, a coat is not required.

** Did you know that if a child reads for 20 minutes every night, they will hear 1.8 million words a year? Reading with your child every night is proven to help students grow as readers.

Universal Free School Breakfast Program is available to all students K-8 every school day. No advanced registration is necessary. These supervised meals are nutritionally balanced and vary daily. School Breakfast is an ideal solution for busy mornings when kids are running late or parents have early work schedules. Oftentimes, kids are not hungry when they first wake up but are ready to eat when school begins. Studies have shown that children who eat a nutritious breakfast have better behavior, better attendance, and improved test scores.
