NO Activities Tonight @ South Gate!
Grand Oak Mission Center
March is South Gate's Month!

Grand Oak Mission Center is a ministry of the Greene County Baptist Association. They provide food and clothing to those who qualify and also provide spiritual help to those they serve. Many salvations occur through this ministry each year! March is South Gate's month to collect donations to stock their shelves (along with some other GCBA churches). You may bring donations of non-perishable food, diapers, and hygiene items to the container in the fellowship hall.

Thank you for supporting this ministry!

SG Benevolent Fund
South Gate receives requests from time to time from church members and people in the community for assistance with things like utilities, food, rent, gas, etc. We have a team that helps determine the best way to help with each request. There is a benevolent fund which is used to provide necessary help. It is not a budget item - funds come strictly from designated gifts to that fund.

Our benevolent fund is in need of resources. If you would like to help provide for those in need, there are several ways to give:
  1. You can place a check or cash in an offering envelope and label it "Benevolent Fund." Place the envelope in the offering plate on Sunday or in a response box anytime.
  2. You can give online. Click HERE to go to our online giving page.
  3. Another convenient way to give is by text. Just text ASSIST [amount you want to give] to 417-228-8222. If it's your first time to give by text, you will be guided through adding your payment.
Response Boxes
New in the Worship Center

As you leave the worship center, you'll see a locked wooden response box at each of the main doors. Use these to securely leave bulletin guest cards, prayer request cards, or offering envelopes that didn't get placed in the offering plate during service.
Student Tech Fundraiser!
Need some help with email, texting, Facebook, or using your devices (such as phones, tablets, laptops, or even your car technology)? Then come get some help from one of our tech-savvy students! Donations will be accepted to help students fund their activities!

From the SG Medical Team!
It's Cold and Flu Season!
What can you do to try to stay healthy?

  • Wash hands, Wash hands, Wash hands!

  • Look for and use the hand sanitizer stations at church.

  • Cough into your upper arm - NOT into your hands.

  • Don’t shake hands—wave or fist bump to avoid passing germs with hand-to-hand contact.

  • Get your yearly flu shot!

We encourage you to enjoy your coffee or other beverages & food items in the Fellowship Hall! But if you bring a drink into the Worship Center and accidentally have a spill, please let a Security Team member know. They will alert a staff member so we can get it cleaned before it becomes a stain that's difficult to remove. Thank you!
Help us out!

1) Please let your Life Group leader or the church office know if you or someone in your family is experiencing hospitalization or a death or birth within the family. Our ministers and deacons want to care and pray for you.

Salvation, spiritual transformation, or health concerns that you want to be listed on the weekly prayer sheet need to be submitted by Wednesday noon. This is not a confidential document, therefore, please ask permission from the person before sharing their need. Contact the church office anytime if you have an urgent need.
Thank you!

2) Our deacons desire to care for the needs of the body. They call and visit those who are unable to attend regularly or are alone. If you know of a South Gate member who would be blessed by this ministry of our deacons, please contact the church office to make us aware of the need.
Thank you!
