Ronald E. Dean, MBA, FACHE
The Hospital Authority of Valdosta & Lowndes County recently announced Ronald E. Dean, MBA, FACHE, as South Georgia Medical Center new CEO. 

Dean will relocate to Valdosta from Troy, Alabama, where he served as the CEO of Troy Regional Medical Center. As CEO of Troy Regional Medical Center, Dean implemented a successful turnaround strategy that improved the hospital's overall performance.
To meet the growing demand for quality broiler breeding stock around the world, Aviagen® has built a new parent stock (PS) hatchery in Quitman, Brooks County. 

The 78,000-square-foot facility becomes the ninth and largest in Aviagen’s U.S. fleet, with the ability to set 1.1 million eggs per week. The company has invested $28 million in the Quitman hatchery, which will result in the creation of up to 100 new jobs for the local workforce. READ MORE
