Honouring a Legacy ...

Julie Viau-Therriault Retires After 50+ Years in Business

After more than five decades in business, Julie Viau-Therriault, owner of Viau Ladies Wear in Green Valley, announced her retirement on June 20th. The news came as a surprise to many who admire Julie not only as a successful entrepreneur but also as a long-time advocate for women in business. Her loyal customers will remember her for her warm welcome, radiant smile, and personalized fashion advice.

Julie’s boutique has been a cornerstone of South Glengarry’s business community for decades, and it's hard to imagine our local landscape without her. After many years of dedicated six-day workweeks, she’s now ready to enjoy a well-earned retirement, spending more time with her grandchildren and embracing a slower pace of life.

On behalf of South Glengarry Council, it was my honour to present Julie with a certificate of recognition to celebrate this important milestone.

Julie, your warmth, energy, and passion for style will be missed on Green Valley’s main street. We wish you nothing but joy and relaxation in this exciting next chapter.

"Toutes nos félicitations pour votre départ, Julie!
