Welcoming Our Newest Business

New Heavy Truck Dealership Opens in South Glengarry

On April 9th, Globocam announced the opening of their first Ontario dealership at 6253 Boundary Road in South Glengarry. Boasting nine locations across Quebec, Globocam is Quebec's largest dealership network. Globocam is Eastern Ontario's exclusive Freightliner and Western Star dealership offering sales, service, and parts to clients across the region.


Globocam is open for business. Watch for an upcoming announcement about their grand opening in June.

Economic Development Project Update

An Economic Development project aiming to improve communication with our businesses and clarify planning and development processes is wrapping up. The project was funded partly by OMAFRA through a Rural Economic Development grant to implement Client Relationship Management (CRM) software and update the Business and Development section of the Township’s website. The CRM implementation was completed and went live on February 2nd. The new Business and Development pages were published on Friday, May 3rd. The Building and Planning Department provided valuable insight to improve the website user interface and experience.

Funding for Events, Festivals and Exhibitions


The Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund is accepting applications for financial support for qualifying cultural events, festivals, and exhibitions. For more information or to register, please use the link below.

Cultural Events Funding

Funding for Manufacturing Business Expansions


The Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF) provides financial incentives for business expansions that create new jobs in Ontario. If you plan to purchase new capital equipment, make operational or process improvements, or expand your market reach, this program may be right for you.


Loans up to 15% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $5M, interest-free for the project duration. If you meet project targets, up to 30% of the loan may be forgiven.


Grants up to 15% of your project to a maximum of $500K for special circumstances.


  • Application submission period: April 11-May 30, 2024.
  • Application deadline: May 30th.
  • Notification by August 27th.

Funding for Community Organizations


The Inclusive Communities Grant Program provides funding to create accessible outdoor spaces, housing, and community buildings. Eligible non-profit organizations may qualify for up to $60,000 for projects to help older adults or people with disabilities participate in community life.
