First Breakfast Connections of 2025 Lands in Lancaster
The first Breakfast Connections event of the year was held April 24 in Lancaster, co-hosted by the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre and the Township of South Glengarry. SDG Warden Lang and South Glengarry Mayor McDonald welcomed the attendees before introducing the guest speaker, Adam Gibeau, the owner of Digital Dorsal.
During his presentation, Adam emphasized the significance of digital tools for businesses. He highlighted that a strong online presence can help attract customers and explained that digital advertising is often more cost-effective than print advertisements.
We extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the Cornwall and SDG Counties Business Enterprise Centre for selecting our Township to co-host this inaugural Breakfast Connections event of the year.

Ferme Butte & Bine's Rural Café & Bakery Opens
Business owners Emeric and Sylviane welcomed MP Eric Duncan, SDG Counties Warden Martin Lang, Mayor Lachlan McDonald, CAO Jamie Fawthrop, SDG Counties’ Acting Manager of Economic Development Karina Belanger, and EDO Jennifer Treverton to their newly constructed rural café and bakery on Thursday, May 1st, ahead of their official opening on May 4th.
The bright and open space, filled with the aroma of freshly baked artisan sourdough breads and brewed coffee, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Displays filled with baked goods tempted guests who came to congratulate Emeric and Sylviane on the successful completion of this ambitious project, allowing them to enjoy treats alongside a hot cup of coffee at one of the cozy tables. The café also features a selection of locally sourced artisan goods.
This project received partial support from the SDG Counties' Regional Incentives Program (RIP) grants. We highly recommend visiting Emeric and Sylviane at 5857 Glen Brook Road, Williamstown, to experience their café.
