2024 Business and Community Awards Gala

The 2024 Business and Community Awards Gala, held on Saturday, September 21st in Williamstown, was a remarkable celebration attended by 128 local dignitaries, including MP Eric Duncan, award recipients, their families, friends, and community members. This event featured a gala dinner followed by an awards presentation ceremony where Members of Council personally honoured each winner with engraved awards, alongside certificates from both MP Eric Duncan and MPP Nolan Quinn.


This gathering recognized the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations who drive positive change, help make our community more prosperous, and do their part to improve our collective quality of life in South Glengarry.

Portraits of Our Past Mural Festival

October 25 to 28, 2024

Here are pictures of the two newly completed historic murals gracing main street buildings in Lancaster. The murals were created in 3 days by 9 highly skilled mural artists. To see the mural artists at work, please visit our Facebook page where we posted more pictures and time-lapse videos. Additional details about the project are outlined in our News Release.

The First Farming Settlers Circa 1800s mural was designed by Loraine Lamb Lalonde and installed at 181 Military Road, Lancaster.

The Portraits of Our Past Mural Unveiling was held on October 28th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Well over 250 people came out to see the murals, meet the artists, and enjoy the festivities.
