Remember Newton’s first law of motion when driving in winter: an object in motion stays in motion. More distance is required for vehicles to slow down or change directions on slippery roads, so don’t speed, avoid quick stops and starts, and keep extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
A great way to save water in the winter is to ensure your home is leak-free. Check all faucets, pipes, and toilets periodically for signs of running water. If you suspect you may have a leak and cannot find it, contact the City at 801-446-HELP for assistance.
