Thank you to everyone who participated in last month's South Lake Trivia Game! We wanted to take a moment and shout out the first participant who answered correctly! The correct answer is 1979. Green Street Restaurant has been a Pasadena tradition and innovation since 1979. Serving California cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Green Street is the place where Pasadenans go to meet old friends, discuss business or just enjoy a fabulous meal. The Holdsworth Group (THG), located in the Commons Building on Lake Avenue, has just distributed over $58,000 in gift cards to local residents affected by COVID.
THG established The COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund to provide financial support to single-parent households where the parent has lost his or her job in the food or hospitality industry. The relief campaign was funded by Mark Holdsworth, Founder of THG, as well as substantial donations from Pasadena residents, THG investing partners and THG employees.
Those that were able to demonstrate that they were single parents and laid off during COVID received a $250 gift card to any Kroger store, including Ralphs and Food 4 Less. The goal was to help the community, especially their neighbors here on Lake Avenue and they feel it was a success! Gift cards were distributed to employees of many local businesses including Magnolia House, Paul Martin’s and The Arbour. The Holdsworth Group appreciates their relationship with the businesses on South Lake Avenue and wishes everyone good health during these extraordinary times.
