Hello Riverview Friends and Neighbours!

With Halloween in the rear view mirror now, it's time to look ahead to the last two months of the year! See below for all the exciting things happening in the area.

As always, please keep sending us your announcements at [email protected] and we will continue to trumpet them to the community!

The Bugle will be sent biweekly on Tuesdays at 12PM. The deadline for materials to be included in them will be the preceding  Sunday.

Jackrabbits Skiing

Riverview JackRabbits Skiing kicks off another season of winter fun for kids between 3 and 11 on Sunday, November 27th. The JackRabbits Cross Country Skiing program builds basic cross country skiing skills through games, activities and ski drills. Click HERE to register.

Jackrabbits Hockey

Registration is now open for Jackrabbits Hockey. This is a fun, learn-to-skate program using hockey to teach the fundamentals. Click HERE for more information.

Lord Roberts CC is Looking for a New GM

Lord Roberts Community Centre is hiring!

The Board of Directors has been looking at ways to help the centre better manage and grow the LRCC programming initiatives, and to engage more community members.

The LRCC is looking for a General Manager, on a part-time, term basis to start, with an emphasis on fundraising and other key skills.

2017 Winter Classic

Registration is now open for the 2017 youth outdoor hockey tournament at the RVCC. We are offering divisions for 5/6's and 7/8's. The registration deadline is December 1st. Click the banner for more information.



Frost Bite River Run

Registration for the 2017 Frost Bite River Run is now open. The run is on Sunday, January 29th  and is part of the Riverview Community Center's Winter Classic. Registration fees are $25 for 18 and under and $45 for adults.   Click the banner to register and for more details.

Women Leadership Expedition in Antarctica Fundraiser


SORSI Children's Fundraising Concert

The South Osborne Syrian Refugee Initiative is holding a children's/family fundraising concert at Churchill Park United Church on  Sunday, Nov. 6 featuring Juno-nominated children's performer Aaron Burnett who is generously donating his talent. (Click HERE to find out more about Aaron).
 
Where the funds go...
Funds raised are to support living expenses for our two Syrian refugee families in Lebanon, as their arrival date is unknown and we are supporting them in Lebanon,  or for expenses for the three  families once they arrive in Winnipeg.

Tickets: $10 Adults (accompanied by a child), $5 children
