Did you know that April is Financial Literacy Month? National Financial Literacy Month
is recognized in the United States in April in an effort to highlight the importance of
financial
literacy
and teach Americans how to establish and maintain healthy financial habits.
SouthFair considers Financial Literacy education the main vein to becoming a “Get It – Keep It” responsible homeowner. We provide Financial Literacy education for everyone – kids, teens, adults and seniors.
In addition to pre-purchase counseling, SouthFair provides post-purchase counseling. SouthFair believes homeowner education is an ongoing process. We offer a monthly Post Purchase Workshop one Saturday of the month usually from 10a to 11:30a, refreshments and door prizes provided. As we build and sell more houses we realized how important this piece is and have opened up services to include not just residents of South Dallas but also Southern Dallas as well. We will continue to work closely with other CDCs, nonprofits, lenders and realtors to get this needed component exposed to as many people as possible.
