COVID-19 Resources

With increasing awareness of the seriousness of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), there is a lot of confusing information and anxiety floating around. Because United Way of Southeast Alaska is committed to the health of our communities, we have compiled guidance and resources for people in our communities facing a public health crisis.

Here is some general advice compiled from state and national guidance. For more detailed information, and for guidance for specific populations and situations, please click the links for National, State, and Local updates and expert advice. Check these links frequently as this situation is evolving rapidly.

Stay calm and safe, take care of yourself and your friends and neighbors, and be sure to follow any National, state, and local guidelines as they are updated to keep you and your family safe.
General Precautions:

  • Wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow
  • Avoid touching your face, mouth, nose, and eyes
  • Stay home if you feel sick
  • Work from home if possible
  • Stay away from public places when possible
  • Avoid travel if possible
  • Do not gather with groups larger than 10 people
