REGIONAL SCHOLASTIC ART AWARD
WINNERS ANNOUNCED TODAY!!
Today is notification day for the Southeast Michigan & Thumb Scholastic Art Region!! Click on the links below to view our region's list of awarded recipients, inventory sheets, important dates, invitation, and guidelines to prepare artwork for the exhibition. National will update award results in ORS sometime on January 26th. At that time, educators and students can log into their accounts to review their next steps. Unfortunately, national no longer provides affiliates with physical certificates. As a result, award packages will not be handed out at the ceremony. Students and educators can download certificates in ORS. Gold and Silver Key pins will be provided to educators at art drop-off on Saturday, February 11th. Please note that students will still be called on stage to be recognized and honored for their accomplishments.
The ceremony will take place at the Detroit Film Theatre located within the Detroit Institute of Arts. Invitations will be sent out with more details. Due to limited capacity, please come on your school's assigned date. Free parking is available at the DIA parking lot courtesy of the Scholastic Arts program. Bus transportation reimbursement to the DIA is also available for schools in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. For more info on the bus transportation reimbursement, please get in touch with Shannon Bawulski at the DIA.
