A Message From your Southeast Region Vice President
Happy 2019! What blessings to see another year and have the opportunities to live, learn, grow and inspire!

I have resolved this year to be more. More communicative in what is happening, what I am feeling, and to share more kindness. In the first few weeks of my term, I started having a monthly regional call. I felt it would be a good way to tell members what is going on in ACF that they may well be missing out on. Sometimes the information just doesn’t get to everyone, so I felt this little effort of time on the fourth Wednesday of each month, would be beneficial. So far, so good! The emails and calls regarding these calls, has been good from all aspects! This monthly conduit of communication has ACF talking to members, members talking to ACF and to each other directly. Members are exchanging their best chapter’s tips, helpful ideas, fundraising practices and getting to know and network with each other. Winning!

I feel blessed to be a part of such a diverse region of members. We are growing and enlarging our territory. Our members in the Virgin Islands, Bahamas, and Dominican Republic are very active ACF members. Thank you as well to our chapters in Tampa, Orlando, Charlotte, Roanoke, Atlanta and coastal VA for staying strong and promoting ACF in your areas with all of your activities.

Our 2019 Chef Connect in Atlantic City is fast approaching, have you registered? This is our 90th year and it’s shaping up to be even more jam-packed with chefs, cooks, students, keynote speakers and activities as Charlotte 2018! VIP Passes are still available, but are going quickly! The hotel still has rooms available Sunday thru Thursday, but do not sleep on this as the current ACF room rate will end soon. I have asked for warm weather; let’s see what the gracious hosts of Atlantic City have to offer! Just in case, pack a sweater or two, you know our blood is too thin for anything colder than 32F!

It’s our time to shine in the Southeast! Keep posting and sending me your chapter’s information and activities. Let’s go be GREAT TOGETHER and tell the world!
