Dear SBS families,

We loved seeing all of your children's smiling faces last week for school pictures day! If you pre-ordered photos, you should have already received an email from Lifetouch with the photo proof. If you haven't ordered yet, log into Lifetouch with event ID EVTQXHC6Q to order now.

This is the Week of Respect at SBS! Remember to dress your child in the theme for each day as our teachers focus on kindness, empathy, and respect. This week is also our fall Mileage Club week! Students will have the option to run laps during recess on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with a rain date on Friday -- there are still a few open slots to volunteer! This week is an A week at SBS.

Updates & Volunteer Opportunities

Get your sneakers ready for the Fall Mileage Club, taking place on October 5th, 6th, & 7th, with a rain date on October 9th! This voluntary program is open to all students, giving children the chance to run, walk, or jog laps with their friends during recess. It's a fantastic way for our kids to stay active, enjoy the fresh air and challenge themselves. Students will also have the opportunity to win prizes for their efforts! We are seeking volunteers to help track their progress and cheer them Volunteer Sign Up Here.

Amazon Wishlists for teachers are back!

We are excited to provide an additional way to support our amazing teachers! We've asked staff to create of items they would like to have in their classrooms. They will periodically update these lists throughout the year. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Access Amazon Wishlists Here!

Join Us for Pat’s Miles for Moms 5K!

Come run, walk, and support a great cause! This family-friendly 5K benefits Moms Helping Moms, a NJ nonprofit providing essential baby supplies to families in need. A Kids Dash will also be available for younger runners!

On behalf of Students Against Cancer and Bailey's Warriors we invite all Chatham families to save the date and join us in the Bailey's Warrior Fun Run on Sunday, October 18th! The event will be held at Cougar Field from 3:30 to 6 pm. More details on registration and donations to follow.

Dues & Fund Donations

PTO Dues, $25 per student, can be conveniently and easily paid via the Chatham PTO square site. Here, you will find LINK to pay each of the school dues, as well as the General Fund. The SBS PTO is asking families to consider contributing $100 per student to the Fund for SBS.

PTO Communication

The PTO will use this newsletter, each Monday, to email all parents with time sensitive reminders regarding PTO specific events. We will aim to keep these weekly messages short and to the point. Using this format will ensure all parents receive the same information at the same time. We strongly recommend that you do not opt out of communication since this will remove you from any PTO communication at all Chatham schools until we work with you to manually resubscribe you.
