Dear Jill,

As we step into the heart of February, a month renowned for celebrating love and togetherness, we are thrilled to extend our warmest greetings to each and every one of you through our latest newsletter. This edition is brimming with stories of compassion, dedication, and the unwavering spirit of our community.

We kick off with an exciting reveal of our Southern Reins' King of Hearts winner - a celebration that embodies the joy and camaraderie that runs deep in our organization. Your generous contributions have not only filled our barn with love and Valentines, but have also significantly bolstered our Guardian Angel Horse Fund. This fund is crucial for providing our beloved herd with the medical care, diagnostic services, and nutritional support they so deserve. From the bottom of our heart, thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that registration for our 2024 Spring Session is now open! With spots filling quickly, we encourage both new and returning participants to secure their place in what promises to be an enriching 9-week journey of growth, learning, and fun. Deadline to register is March 4.

This edition also introduces a wonderful new addition to our family, Kasey Brewer, joining our barn staff. Kasey brings a lifetime of passion for equestrian sport and a commitment to fostering the next generation of riders. We are thrilled to welcome her aboard.

Lastly, we invite you to mark your calendars for the 9th Annual Jockeys & Juleps Derby Party. This event not only celebrates the tradition of the Kentucky Derby but also the community spirit and mission of Southern Reins. It is an occasion not to be missed, promising big hats, bourbon, bluegrass, and a heartwarming gathering of friends old and new.

In closing, we want to express our deepest appreciation for our volunteers, whose dedication and hard work are the backbone of Southern Reins. Your contributions illuminate our path and make our mission possible.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of our Southern Reins family. Here’s to creating more unforgettable memories together!

Because of your incredibly generous donations, our barn has been filled with lots of love this Valentine's season and we are so grateful for everyone who participated in spreading joy and sending hearts. Volunteer Appreciation Week!

This month, Southern Reins celebrated the heartbeat of our organization - our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS - whose time, passion, and dedication light up our mission.

THANK YOU for being the driving force behind the positive change we create together.

CHS Transition Academy and Memphis TigerLIFE are back!

Twice a week, with the help and guidance from our amazing volunteer, Donna, these dedicated groups work at the farm to learn job skills that help them succeed in obtaining and maintaining employment, while also learning the importance of leadership and teamwork!

Thank you from all of us at Southern Reins and a big THUMBS UP for joining forces to support our mission!
