Dear Southern Reins Family,

As we embrace the season of gratitude, we are excited to share a few highlights from a remarkable November at the farm. This month featured the much-anticipated 3rd Annual Southern Supper on November 21 - a celebration of community, impact, and generosity that brings our mission to life. In the spirit of the holidays, we have launched our year-end giving campaign, and invite you to support our Annual Fund to sustain and grow the life-changing programs we provide. We are also proud to spotlight our HorsePOWER Work-Based Learning participants, who continue to gain valuable skills and experience through their work at the farm. Additionally, we were grateful to welcome students from White Station High School for field trip visits and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center to continue their hands-on education through fieldwork at the farm.

Read on for all the exciting updates as we celebrate the transformative work that happens every day at Southern Reins. From our farm family to yours, we wish you a joyful and happy holiday season!

3rd Annual Southern Supper

An Unforgettable Night of Impact and Inspiration

Memphis Country Club served as the perfect setting for our signature fall fundraiser on November 21, 2024. Presented by Kimery Wealth Management and graciously hosted by Kim Jordan, Vice Chairman of the Southern Reins' Board of Directors, and her husband, Bryan Jordan, this year's Southern Supper welcomed more than 200 guests in support of the life-changing programs Southern Reins provides for individuals with special needs in our community.

The evening kicked off with a lively cocktail hour featuring music by The Bonfire Orchestra, setting the stage for a night to remember. Guests gathered for a warm and welcoming family-style Southern dinner, perfectly paired with select wines, as they engaged in meaningful conversations with others dedicated to making a difference. Highlights of the night included an inspiring story shared by Southern Reins' participant Hunter Phillips, and a spirited silent auction that added energy and excitement. The event was a true celebration of community, generosity, and the essence of Southern hospitality.

This year's Southern Supper raised more than $60,000 to provide transformative services for children and adults living with disabilities and hardship throughout the Mid-South.

To all our wonderful sponsors and guests, THANK YOU for joining us for a

Taste of the South . . . with Memphis charm. We are incredibly grateful for your support.

Together, We Can Change Lives . . . Now and for Generations to Come

We believe in the power of horses to transform lives. Our therapy horses do more than carry their riders; they uplift hearts, spark hope, and create meaningful connections. Every individual we serve has a unique potential waiting to be realized, and with your support, we can provide opportunity for participants to experience breakthrough moments where their abilities shine as they discover a newfound sense of confidence, strength, and independence.

This holiday season, you can make a difference that will echo far beyond the holidays, into a lifetime of memories and accomplishments.

Your gift will provide essential financial assistance for our participants, ensure the very best of care for our cherished therapy horses, and help expand our programs and facilities to reach even more individuals in need.

Horseshoes For a Purpose

From Hooves to Hands

Memphis TigerLIFE and Collierville High School's Transition Academy demonstrate a labor of love by cleaning, polishing and painting horseshoes as gifts for our 3rd Annual Southern Supper guests. Both groups worked tirelessly to ensure each horseshoe was unique and ready for their new home. By choosing a horseshoe, guests were able to honor their hard work and creativity.

Christmas Time at the Farm!

We love getting into the spirit of the holiday season, and what better way than decking the halls! Students had the best time decorating our holiday tree and sharing so many smiles. Their assistance with little sprinkles of Christmas spirit across the farm brings such joy!

White Station High School Groups Visit Southern Reins

Southern Reins was delighted to welecome two student groups from White Station High School for a field trip to the farm.

They enjoyed hand-painting horse art, horseback riding simulations, and crafting fall-inspired horse creations. The day was filled with learning, creativity, and meaningful connections that provided lasting memories for all.
