Dear Jill,

October is a beautiful month at the farm. With comfortable temperatures and vibrant colors to enjoy as the leaves change, our participants and volunteers are all smiles! Fall is in the air, and we are excited to host our 2nd Annual Southern Supper fundraiser - just two short weeks away! With just a handful of tickets and one sponsorship table left, now is the time to reserve your seats for a taste of the South . . . with Memphis charm. Registration for our 9-Week Winter Session is already underway with a deadline of Sunday, December 3. As always, we look forward to welcoming all of our friends back to the farm for the upcoming winter season - and the start of another wonderful year at Southern Reins.

Here are just a few of the highlights and happenings this month at the farm. Thank you for being part of our story as our participants aspire, achieve, and amaze.

2nd Annual Southern Supper

Reserve your tickets TODAY for the 2nd Annual Southern Supper on Thursday, November 9. This special evening blends the charm of Southern hospitality with our mission to change lives. Proudly presented by ContractingPRO, gather with family, friends, and clients to share cocktail hour with live music by Bonfire Orchestra, followed by a savory Southern meal served family-style at the historic and exclusive Memphis Hunt & Polo Club.

Join us at the table for an unforgettable evening under the starts to make miracles possible through the healing power of horses for children and adults with disabilities and hardship throughout our community.

Welcome Shelby County 4-H Ghost Riders Club

We were delighted to host youth and parents from the Shelby County 4-H Ghost Riders Club for a tour of Southern Reins and to learn more about our programs and the benefits of equine-assisted therapy. It was a beautiful day filled with lot of learning. We are so grateful that you were able to join us!

TigerLIFE and CHS Transition Academy Achieve Program

Join Forces at the Farm

Our friends at Memphis TigerLIFE began their Fall internship in September, working at the farm twice a week to help keep our facilities looking their very best. Not only are they dedicating their time to learning new job skills, they have also welcomed members of the Collierville High School Transition Academy Achieve Program to join them! With the help and guidance from our amazing volunteer, Donna, these groups work on various projects together, learning vocational skills while helping us fulfill our mission.

Thank you from all of us at Southern Reins!

Our mission is to serve individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities and hardship by providing equine-assisted service to empower, inspire, nurture and succeed.
