WELCOMING OUR NEW PREACHING MINISTER
We are thankful and excited that Alex Jamerison will be joining us as our new preaching minister! We are confident that God has answered our prayers and that the Spirit was at work throughout the preacher search process. Alex plans to begin his ministry at Southside in June, and his first Sunday to preach will be June 5. Alex and his wife Mercedes have been working and worshiping with the Camp Creek Church of Christ in Atlanta for the past few years. Before that, Alex worked for Harding University as a Bible professor and as Director of Church Outreach. He and Mercedes have two daughters, Ava (4) and Ziah (18 months), and they are expecting a baby boy in August. Please take time to welcome Alex and Mercedes with a phone call or text (Alex’s number is 314-322-8050), an email (ajamerison@gmail.com), or a card or note
(Alex & Mercedes Jamerison, 90 Castle Rock, Fairburn, Georgia 30213).
Thank you for your prayers, patience, and encouragement throughout this process. We look forward to having the Jamerison family join our Southside family as we work together for the Lord in mission, mercy, and transformation.
I Corinthians 1:9 — “God is faithful, who has called you into
fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

“The Well”
In May we are going to have a hybrid version of “The Well.”
We will be offering two special optional adult classes:
Tech-Wise Parenting | In this 5 week series Jana McGilvray and Lance Sanchez will identify the problems that can arise with screens, and then address how we can respond as Christians to provide a nurturing home environment where wisdom and courage are developed.
Born to Reproduce: Disciples Making Disciples | In this equipping class, Chris Jeter will be teaching about how Jesus made disciples as mode for how we make disciples. Disciple-making is intentional, relational, and reproducible. This class will explore how we can be faithful to the Great Commission.

The reception will be on May 8th following morning worship in the fellowship hall. Adult Bible classes will have a delayed start that morning.
A Bible and a picture of the Southside steeple will be presented to them. We would like all of our partners to leave an encouraging message by their favorite scripture in the Bible and to sign both of these items. The Bible and picture are currently in the church office and if you cannot attend the reception, we encourage you to stop by the office prior to the reception and sign them.
