Dear church,

As we look toward the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, many of us will celebrate with fireworks, parades and barbecues. Independence Day often brings us together with family and friends. Yet there is more that connects us than our communal celebrations. We are also connected through a common vision.

YOU can make a difference! What service or project can YOU do that shows God’s Love to your neighbors? Project Radical Hospitality wants to help you do it! The Love In Action Grants are available to anyone with a great idea to help their neighbors, but needs a little bit of $$$ to make that happen. Apply here for grants between $100 to $500.

Cross Trails has started collecting quilts for the annual Fall Festival Quilt Auction, and they need your help! Clergy and Faith Leaders Press Conference for Free and Fair Elections

As part of a national interfaith effort with press conferences taking place across the country, faith leaders gathered in San Antonio to call for the protection of free and fair elections and voting rights for all eligible voters. It was a blessing to see a strong Lutheran presence from our synod alongside leaders from many faith traditions, standing together in our shared commitment to the dignity of our neighbors and the common good.
