Dear Participants,

I hope that you are all enjoying peace and good health! Please pray for those in areas of conflict in the world and for those facing economic hardship in these uncertain times. I would like to tell you about the upcoming Papal visit to Canada and request that you join a prayer service for the DRC and South Sudan. We are also offering the JPIC Promoters Workshop this fall, for the third year. This program has been well attended and the videos of the past two years are posted and continue to be watched. This year will we will provide more information and tools and would love to welcome new promoters into the workshop. I look forward to seeing you there! Peace and all good to you!

Papal Visit to Canada: July 24 - 29, 2022

Pope Francis will journey to Canada from July 24 to 30^th. He will meet with First Nations delegations to listen and dialogue and will focus on healing and reconciliation. Please pray for his health and well-being as he seeks to restore peace and understanding the planet Earth, our common home.



JPIC Promoters Formation Workshop 2022

November 28 to December 2. This is the third time we are offering this exciting program for JPIC promoters. The five day experience in formation will provide new and returning JPIC promoters with the tools needed to animate members of their Congregations. The program will focus on "foundations", ministerial collaboration, communion, and the synodal process to deepen the JPIC ministry. The program will be in English, French, and Spanish.

Prayer for DRC and South Sudan, July 25^th

Pax Christi International's Catholic Nonviolence Initiative and the JPIC Commission of UISG/USG invite you to pray together in a special way for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan, which recently have been visited by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin. This one-hour Zoom event will include music and prayers, with photos and stories of peacemakers and advocates for nonviolence. The program will be in English, French, and Spanish.
