Ramah School of Prophets

We had just arrived back in Brazil from being in Kansas City for Christmas and our first event was the Ramah School of Prophets. This was a 3 day gathering from morning to evening. The school operates in an environment that has a loose schedule, meaning the leadership is open to what the Holy Spirit is doing and flows according to what the Lord has for that time. We were not scheduled to be one of the preachers, but the Lord had other plans. Apostle Judá Bertelli called us up to minister and we preached about this being the year of the mountain. Ascend to your purpose!

Mount Sinai was the mountain where Moses encountered God and was empowered for his destiny.

God called him after spending 40 years taking care of the livestock for his father in law. On holy ground God revealed himself to Moses as "I AM". Mount Carmel was the mountain that the prophet Elijah called on God, and the demonic principalities that had such a stronghold over the people were broken. The Lord gives you authority in the Mighty name of Jesus to cast down every stronghold that has established itself against the Word of the Lord over your life. Be bold and take authority on the battle ground of this mountain and declare the Word over your life.

At the conference, there was a man brought over for prayer. He had intestinal cancer, was in pain and looked broken. The power of God touched him and a demon came out. We did not get to speak with him after that, so we don't know fully the testimony. Perhaps one day on this side of heaven we will get to hear what the Lord did.

Some sickness and medical issues are purely spiritual. Under authority it must go. However, often permissive rights give the devil a foothold and legal right to be there. Break this agreement! Give the devil no place in your life and home. Guard yourself from alignments with darkness and deceiving spirits. As well, there are issues that can be purely physical due to genetics, lifestyle choices, eating habits or just the breakdown of the body. Either way, the Lord paid the price of healing by His stripes at Calvary. This is why we have a biblical promise and right to pray and believe for healing. The Lord is our Jehovah Rapha.

A man came to share a testimony with me and said that last year at the Ramah School of Prophets he gave me a ring that was the most precious material thing to him in his life. It was a pure silver ring with the star of David on it. His son needed a miracle. It was a moment that was a "do or die" moment for his son. As a father, his heart was broken and he needed God to do a great miracle. The Lord told him to give me his ring. It was a seed of great cost and value to himself personally. But his desire for a supernatural breakthrough was greater than anything he could hold in this life. He was so happy to tell me that the very next week the miracle happened! Glory to God!

There was a man there at the School of Prophets who was healed in one of our services a few months prior in another state here in Brazil. He's a business man and came to attend the School of Prophets conference. He happily told us that his back was healed in that service three months ago. In this prophetic conference he had a construction worker friend with him who had a back injury and hadn't worked in several months. Seeing how the Lord healed his own back, he had great faith for his friend to be healed. WOW!

The power of God touched this man's friend and his healing manifested at that moment. AMEN! The man left so happy!

This reminds me of the time when friends lowered their paralyzed friend through the roof for Jesus to heal him (Mark 2:3-11) What great faith!

Look who was at the School of Prophets and came over to give us a hug. This boy was autistic 3 months ago. He remembered us from when we ministered at his church. The Lord healed him during that service in a dramatic and powerful way, and without anyone laying hands on him to pray.

At the conference, this brought back memories from the days when there was an expectation just to be in the Lord's house with no time constraints and it was no problem for the children to nap and sleep. LOVE IT!!! a l

The Holy Spirit called Débora out and the people prayed for her. There was a word over her that the Lord was anointing her as a mother of nations and raising her up for this time.

Spontaneous worship, prayer and teaching

The atmosphere of the conference extended beyond the walls. During breakfast at the hotel, spontaneous worship, prayer and teaching of the Word happened. I love the freedom of the Holy Spirit that happens in an atmospheres where the Lord is honored and desired. In the one picture we are holding up brother Bertelli's arms. The same as when God told Aaron and Hur to hold up the arms of Moses. As long as they were holding up Moses' arms the Israelites experienced victory. The minute they let the arms down, they would begin to experience defeat (Exodus 17) In the same way we need to support one another. Débora and I thank you for the strength we receive through your prayers and support. Without it we would not be experiencing the level of breakthrough we are seeing here in Brazil. Thank you!

Thursday mid week service

The boy walks!!!

We went to Pouso Alegre to minister at a pastors' gathering scheduled for Friday and Saturday. While there we ministered at the King Jesus church on their Thursday mid-week service. This was our 2nd time at this church. This mom in the picture said when we where there a few months ago, her boy was healed. She said that during the time of prayer, we kissed her sons legs. He had been in physical therapy because he could not walk. From that moment he walked. Glory to God! Who can explaining the mysteries of God.

During the service we had a time of prayer for the sick. Specifically, issues of the stomach, intestines and digestion. About 12-15 people came forward for prayer. One man was standing in for his brother who had a serious issue of colitis. When he was prayed for the power of God touched him, he fell to the ground and threw up blood clots. It was such a powerful night of ministry.

The pastor wants to schedule 3 days of revival meetings focusing on preaching the "Good News" of the Gospel and the demonstration of the power of the Gospel to unbelievers. Jesus went around healing and setting free all who were bound by the devil and sick with infirmities. His fame spread and people came from all over to seek Him out. The Bible says that signs, wonders and miracles accompany the Gospel (Mark 16:20). The church today has been empowered with the Holy Spirit and given this task as part of the Great Commission. Paul said, I did not come with wise and persuasive sermons, I came with the demonstration and power of the Holy Spirit! (1 Cor. 2:4)

We came for two days to minister to a group of pastors. On the drive just before we arrived we were presented with a beautiful rainbow. The Lord is faithful to His Word!

Minas Gerais is a beautiful state, known for its coffee which they export across the globe.

Earlier in the day, the Holy Spirit prompted Débora to take off her ring and put it on the this woman's finger. She later testified that she was in so much pain and especially in her fingers as a result of arthritis. At the exact moment that Débora put the ring on her finger the presence of God came on her and she was healed. In tears she testified before all at what the Lord did for Her.

During one of the sessions, a mayoral candidate came to seek a word from the Lord and to receive confirmation if the Lord would was with him in his mayoral pursuit. We spent time in prayer and releasing prophetic declarations over him. POWERFUL!

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands. Psalms 112:1

This man approached us in the Hotel. He said he wanted to share something with us. He said about a year ago he was in his home watching Débora and I preaching live online. He described the experience of how he felt electricity coming out of the screen. He began to shake and cry uncontrollably. It was a moment that something shifted inside him. He asked God, "One day I would like to meet Michel and Débora and tell them what God did for me." Amazing!

His word in my heart is like fire that burns in my bones, and I can't hold it ...

Who's the old man selling cheese?

While on the drive back from the Pastors' meeting, our friend Pastor Diego Issacar who was driving, abruptly said, "let's get some cheese!" He overshot the cheese vendor and reversed on the highway. We went inside and the older man so proudly showed us his fine crafted cheeses. We bought plenty! The Lord spoke in my heart that he was going to be taken and his time on earth was about over. We asked him if he knew God. "Oh yes", he replied "I believe in God. I raised my sons to always do right and believe. But I don't know who He is." We asked him if he would like to know? He said yes. We shared the "Good News" of the Gospel and who Jesus is and what the Lord did for him on the cross. He said, "I want to know Jesus and have this salvation." We prayed together and he received Jesus as his savior. In the car Pr. Diego said, "the Lord told me his time was about over on earth and he's going to die soon." WOW! The testimony of two confirms a matter. (2 Cor. 13:1)

Who's the old man selling cheese?

To the average traveler, just an older man selling cheese.

To God, he's an eternal soul who has great value.

This is carnival week in Brazil. It's common for the churches to host 3 or 4 days of meetings. Many churches go to camp grounds and spend the days together. On Saturday we kicked off the Church's conference . The theme was "Living for Something Greater"

We preached a message about "Redeeming the Time". There were 4 Salvations, Praise God!!!!! Débora had a strong impression at the start of the service that someone wanted to give up and couldn't find strength to continue living. Two people acknowledged that at that moment. Débora declared a prophetic Word and prayed over them. At the time of the altar call for salvation the man in the pink shirt came forward to give his life to Jesus. He was one of the two in the beginning that said they wanted to give it all up today. God is Good!

In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me Psalms 120:1.

Surely "Today is the day of Salvation." 2 Cor. 6:2

The church's conference theme was "I AM"

I - Intercession A - Adoration M - Mission

After ministering in Vinhedo on Saturday night, Débora and I ministered at a Monday night service at a church's conference, Our night's theme was "Mission." I was happy for this, because in our evangelistic mantle it's part of our mission here in Brazil to assist in equipping the local church in their mission and to impart the Pentecostal Fire for the witness of the Gospel

(Ephesians 4:11-12, Acts 1:8)

The Lord previously told the pastor that the name of the conference was to be called "I AM." This is powerful, because when Moses was called to meet with God on Mount Sinai, God revealed to Moses His mane as "I AM." Meaning I AM self existent, all eternal with no beginning and no end.

To give you an understanding of Brazilian Carnival...

Carnival in Brazil is a big deal for cities and those committed to revelry. It's a week of sin, partying, drugs, open sexual acts, witchcraft and demonic activity. A few years ago, in one of the parades, Jesus was depicted as being dragged by satan and continually beaten. It's said that the Brazilian government pays satanists and workers of witchcraft millions of Reals to do incantations so that it won't rain during Carnival.

The theme for the wordly Carnival celebrations in São Paulo this year so happened to be "I AM CARNIVAL." The pastor had no idea about this until the week of the carnival. But God knew! Well before the Lord had already told him to name the church's conference "I AM." It's a Mount Carmel battle against spiritual forces of darkness that are directly confronting righteousness.

The church is located in a section of the city that is steeped in witchcraft and has several centers for such demonic activity. They told us that churches in this region don't last. It's a strong spiritual battle. As well, across the street from the church there is a large Buddhist temple.

About 250 people were present at the service. 4 people came forward to make a profession of faith in Christ to be born again. HALLELUJAH!!!! After the service we found out that there were 3 missionary couples present (Portugal, Africa and India) in the service and were deeply touched and empowered with new oil and a new fire to continue forward in their Mission.

After the altar call we laid hands on all present to receive the "Fire of the Holy Spirit" It was an intense time. The atmosphere was in rumblings. Jesus said, "when you receive power from on high you will be my witnesses into all the world" (Acts 1:8). The Lord did not sanction the gospel message to be separated from the work and power of the Holy Spirit. They work together in divine partnership with the body of Christ.

The Lord speaks through circumstances

Circumstances Speak...

We were in a park area and the car window shattered. It was so LOUD it sounded like a gunshot. In fact, Débora thought someone had shot at our car. Glass was all the way on the dashboard, and miraculously Débora who was right by the window when it shattered, had no injuries. She had also juts put her sunglasses on, which protected her eyes. She had glass all over herself, in her eyebrows, her hair, inside her pockets, her shoes... and no cuts!! I picked up some glass and said, "Débora look, it looks like diamonds." Then I heard in my heart, "what is shattered will produce something" I thought Lord, where is that in scripture to back this up. Once home

I searched my Bible and found this verse....

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will Shatter down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.. Isaiah 45:2-3 AMP

Débora and I went to Campinas (next city over from ours) to run some errands. I took some time at the coffee shop while Débora was across the street. This guy kept looking at me. He said, "pastor Michel? we met at the School of Prophets." We sat and talked for a while. They are both pastors from different ministries. In the 10 years we have ministered in Brazil we have never, not one time, asked anyone to preach or minister in their church or event. NOT ONCE! We made a commitment to the Lord when we came to Brazil, that we would go where He sends us by divine appointment. Divine, alignments happen all the time.

Thank you Lord, you order the steps of your people. Psalms 37:23

In Brazil, fellowship around the table is crucial to forming relationships and trust. Ap. Bertelli and Ap. Diego Issacar had just flew in from ministering in Ecuador and came straight to our apartment for a time of fellowship. Our friends Igor and Camila and their 2 kids, along with Dani (Diego's wife) and their kids all came. We worshipped, prayed, had communion, laughed and talked about the things of God. Oh how fast 5 hours passes when in company of beautiful hearts.

Débora always puts together such a beautiful spread of food. She receives people well in our home with such excellence.

A Brazilian wedding

Isabel and Guilherme

Weddings in Brazil are highly celebrated. It's a huge deal here and people save for a very long time to make it a day that is special for all involved and especially for the guests. We count it a great honor to be a witness to such a heavenly moment. The bride Isabel is the daughter of Pastors Christian and Selma from Simples Community Church. This precious family have become dear friends of ours. Their two other children Raul, who is married to Barbara and their daughter Lola are all amazing. The presence of God was so glorious, a true testament to the favor and honor the Lord establishes upon a home and its generations. Congratulations Isabel and Guilherme.
