SOZO MOUNTAIN BRAZIL
The latest...
Wow, wow, wow so much has happened since the last report. In the previous newsletter you may remember our first offer to purchase the property back in November was not accepted. We anticipated making a second offer right away, but we had no peace to make another offer at that time. We heard the Lord say, "Don't rush it, be patient". Then around Christmas time the realtor contacted us and said the owner wanted to know if we were going to make a second offer. We told him not at that point, but we would let him know. Fast forward to February, we were ministering in Paranaiba over the weekend. When we landed at the airport we got a call from Fabio our friend in Campos. He said the realtor contacted him and asked for him to speak with us about making another offer since the owner was looking for one. From this my mind was running non-stop. I was imagining every way we could find ways to pay for this property. Débora and I had a great sense that things had shifted in the Spirit and things were getting real after we have waited 10 years since we first walked on that property and the Lord spoke to us about it. Pastor Mahatma was one of the preachers for this event and he came up to me (Michel), strongly grabbed my arm and said with such force in his voice "The Lord says why are you so worried about money? Has not the Lord provided? He has everything you need for the project he's called you to, don't worry!" Okay, no one there knew about the Sozo project and on top of that, the deep worry that weighed heavy on me from the phone call at the airport.
Now we are in March. We gave our 30 day notice for our apartment, despite the fact we don't have a home to go to and that the Sozo negotiations are still in progress. We felt like we need to take a step of faith out of the boat first. We were just in Campos looking for a place to rent and had a meeting with the realtor while there. We came to terms on a new offer. He called the owner and he was not too happy, to put it kindly. We left it at that and stopped the negotiating and did not hear anything else.
Last week, coming back from another trip to Campos we stopped for dinner at a friend's home (this was Thursday March 13). At the table apostle Judá Bertelli had a vision, and he said "Michel I see you on a mountain top with your arms lifted up and flying like an eagle. The Lord say's its time. You have been patient and waited so long, Campos do Jordão and the region will be greatly impacted by Sozo Mountain. It will be a place of God's glory and God's demonstrative power."
Side note: Most Christians don't have an understanding of the prophetic nature of the Holy Spirit. It is a gift. If the Lord gives you a word or strong impression to share with someone, don't hesitate. Their heart will bear witness if it's a confirmation to them.
The next night (Friday March 14th) we got a call from the realtor saying the owner wanted to accept our last offer. He would like it written up to present to his ex-wife for approval.
We told him we could not respond at that moment as it was late and we would be out over the weekend ministering. Monday night we called an emergency board meeting with the Brazilian team to discuss our offer, to pray and seek God's approval. On Tuesday March 18th, we forwarded and submitted our offer to the realtor. Now at the writing of this newsletter we wait to see. There may be some sticking points that will need to be worked through, but we trust it will all come to fruition soon.
Ministry friends and partners, you have followed us over the years on our Mission's journey here in Brazil since 2013. We have always tried to be transparent and share with you details, the successes and difficulties we have faced. Our heart is for you to be a part along with us of what God is doing here.
When we have more updates, we will send out a special edition newsletter.
Let's continue believing and praying for Sozo Mountain Brazil.
