Servant Ministry

The Bible describes Jesus as the suffering servant. Jesus also declared, "I came to serve and NOT to be served." The mark of a great king is one that serves. It's a principle rarely lived and reflected in peoples lives as most are living for self interest, for convenience, material gain, influence or fame. As Jesus went to wash the feet of the disciples, he stated, "I do this as an example, that you too would serve as I have served you."

Débora was invited to speak at the monthly women pastors and pastors wives' tea. It was a wonderful opportunity to impart into the lives of women that give and sacrifice so much. There were powerful moments of prayer and prophetic words. The Holy Spirit ministered to many hearts that afternoon.

"I will go before you and will level the mountains I will shatter (break down) gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." --Isaiah 45:2-3



"Everything Speaks" in Portuguese means (Tudo Fala). If we are listening we can discern many things the Lord is communicating to us. At the EXACT time I was sharing this testimony about the shattered glass with the pastors my phone rang. "Is this Michel Borchardt? Do you own the house at ...? This is the police department, someone just broke through your gate with their car."

A few weeks after that in August, the day before we were set to leave Kansas for Brazil, I got a text with the picture, saying Welcome to Diamond Status? 1% of Delta customers receive this. I always thought is would be out of reach for us, but in God's timing and ways, "Tudo Fala".

Why is this important?

God gives you sign posts and mile markers along the way. He leads, guides and gives confirmations. We are believing for the MOUNTAIN, it's been 10 years and we have many, many, many words and confirmations that have sustained our faith. The verse in Isaiah 45 says that the MOUNTAIN will be leveled before you, in other words it will be conquered. The gates and bars that the Lord will shatter (break down) represent the obstacles, barriers and restraints the Lord will remove. And the hidden treasures that have been stored for the appointed moment, the Lord will release and bring the resources from the most unlikely and unexpected places that have been previously hidden from you. Wow! Wow! Wow!

It was an amazing evening. The place was full of dignitaries and public officials. When going through security and check-in they asked, "Who are you?", "We are just ordinary people." They replied, "Not tonight; we are putting you in the category of ambassadors." GLORY to God!

 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

--2 Corinthians 5:20

FAVORITE part of the event was when former president Bolsonaro spoke. In his address he said, "Brazil's only hope is to put our trust in Jesus Christ." What a bold public profession. After his address, they laid hands on him and the first lady as entire theater prayed over them. POWERFUL!!!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes --Romans 1:15



Testimonies from Ijuí

These were powerful 3 days! We (Débora and Michel) were one of the preachers during this event) as well as, Pastor Thomas Wilkins, an American who came as a missionary 60 years ago. His impact on the nation of Brazil cannot be calculated, as he has laid a foundation for the waves of revival that are moving throughout the land. Pastor Mahatma Lopes was also present, he pastors in Rio de Janeiro. Last year we had a literal "spiritual collision" with him at the Womb of the Nation conference. He is a strong prophetic voice throughout Brazil and held in high regard. Pastor Marciano Ortencio from the Alcance Church in Curitiba was also one of the speakers. He pastors a dynamic and impactful church of about 7K people. Every year they hold a supernatural conference which lasts a week. The whole church fasts for 21 days to prepare. You may remember from a previous newsletter when we ministered there at the 2023 Supernatural conference.

An Appointed Time!, We had a three hour drive from the airport to the church. We were all together and this provided a great opportunity for fellowship. Débora and I asked Pastor Mahatma if he remembered the prophetic word he gave us at the "Womb of the Nation" conference. He didn't. So we had an opportunity to share the depth of the revelation, it's meaning and how the Lord confirmed many specific details and the plans he has for us in Brazil. We got to share how we came to Brazil and about the Sozo Mountain project. This was a God appointed time. These mighty men of faith are busy and live full schedules serving the Lord. To get three hours alone with them and to be able to both share and receive from their wisdom, anointing and experiences is a GIFT from the LORD. We highly value this! These moments have repeated themselves with many of Brazil's spiritual leaders along our journey. The Lord has aligned us over the past 10 years with authentic men and women of God. These alignments I believe have specific purposes in our mission here and will ultimately lead to a convergence at Sozo Mountain.

What amazing days in the presence of God. Brazilians love to do conferences. The atmosphere is different in these moments because people see it as an event and not a structured timed Sunday service. There's freedom and liberty in the Holy Spirit, there's hunger and expectation and there come the miracles!

A boy (age 12 ish) was so moved by the Holy Spirit that he was overwhelmed. He came to the platform to testify. Under the weight of God's presence he was trembling. He said, "tonight I know the Lord has called me and set me apart for ministry. I just wast to follow him all my life." Precious!

A women with a high risk tumor in her pregnancy also testified to her healing.

A homosexual couple came to the altar. The one girl (Regina) gave her life to Jesus and said she wanted to forsake sinful living and live a holy and consecrated life before the Lord. It was powerful!

A couple from the church drove us back to the airport and shared a testimony. The wife's sister had come to the platform for prayer and healing. She said she had an issue in the stomach but did not elaborate. During prayer she felt her stomach moving and turning inside, like a baby moving in the womb. She said, the Lord healed her at that moment. She called her mom and told her what happened. The mom came to the church the next night of the conference to investigate what was happening. At the time of the altar call for salvation, the mom came forward and gave her life to Christ.

GLORY TO GOD!!!!

On one of the nights, the pastors of the church asked us if we would be willing to minister to the children separately during the service time. What a blessed time we had with the kids! Many prophetic words and exhortations were released to specific kids. It was a time of impartation to receive and understand God has beautiful purpose for their lives. Many children where present that are not part of the church. They come through an outreach program. Thank you Lord for this privileged opportunity.

Several of us were on the tower praying and a cloud began to form at that moment. We were specifically praying and asking God for his literal Shekinah Glory to rest on this mountain top to be a witness for this generation in Brazil.

As we were praying the small cloud grew into a dense dark cloud. The exact minute we stopped praying the cloud dissipated. Wow! The presence of the Lord in our encounter on this mountain top was tangible and powerful!

"And the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Exodus 19:9

We concluded our 2 days together, with a time to share and reflect. In full disclosure, some asked for forgiveness and confessed saying they had stopped believing. Time was passing and it didn't seem to be a possibility anymore. They said that they had stood by us over these years because they believed in us and in what we carry.

But after this time together they said, "Now we believe and have seen first hand what we had only talked about and prayed for. We can see it all now!" Amen!

Faith is a journey of persevering, believing and being bold about what the Lord has called you to. It will tax you to the limit and even many neigh sayers will come along. You will question everything you thought. But press on, even when it seems impossible. Faith is our responsibility, but the outcome is God's.

At the writing of this newsletter, we are happy to report to you that we are in talks with the owner of the property to come to terms on acquiring it. We have just had it inspected and are waiting on some quotes from trades people regarding some needed repairs and updates. Many miracles have happened to get to this point and the supernatural alignments that the Lord has done are amazing. On a side note, I look forward to writing a book about this journey, sharing the details and the many miracles along the way, and about what it is to walk a path of faith when you are believing a Word from the Lord.

Timing is God's, but we must keep our hand to the plow, the increase comes from Him.

There are still many challenges and giants to overcome in this process, so please continue to pray and believe. I can only describe it like child birth. The contractions become stronger and closer together right before birth. We are seeing this on all fronts. It is happening, praise God!

In the next few weeks a December newsletter will be sent out before the end of the year. Be on the look out for it. More details and a progress report will be shared. Wouldn't it be amazing if everything came together and we could finalize the purchase before the end of the year?
