COLLINS BUSINESS SYSTEM

SENSEI SPOTLIGHT

Today's article is by Lean Sensei Sandy Bellew from Leading North Advisors.

How to Leverage CBS/Lean in Everyday Tasks.

How to leverage the Collins Business System (CBS)/Lean in

everyday tasks and functions has become a question I gets asked often when providing coaching to the Gemba's

(Gemba = where the work is done) each month.

In short, CBS/Lean is the application of a management philosophy that allows us to focus on eliminating waste and creating more value with fewer resources. Fewer resources, for example, applies to supplies we may need, delivery trucks we may use, and tools we may store but it can also refer to people such as when we have too many people performing a task or function.

To better understand how we apply these principles to everyday tasks, let's break it down a bit.

By applying the Collins Business System/Lean principles to your everyday tasks and functions, you can streamline your processes, eliminate waste, and create more value with fewer resources. Whether you are working on a personal project or managing a team, these principles can help you improve efficiency and achieve better results.

COLLINS CARES

2023 Clark/CRC CARES Golf Tournament

Congratulations to our very own team, CECI, on defending our title of being back-to-back champions!

Last week, CECI sponsored the Clark Golf Tournament hosted by Clark Construction Group at the Chardonnay Golf Club to help raise money for California-based and national non-profit organizations.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

March is National Nutrition Month!

To help save money and reduce food waste, plan your meals and snacks. Check your local grocery store ads for the best deals, and remember to make a grocery list before you go. Never shop on a hungry stomach, it can lead to unhealthy impulse purchases!

In celebration of March Nutrition Month, Marina and Metro/Corporate branch employees got together to have a healthy lunch potluck.

Thank you for bringing your favorite healthy entrees, sides, and desserts to share with the team!

March is not over, so gather your team or crew to host your own.

Dublin Office Manager Stayc Feil has gone through her last day of chemotherapy treatment for cancer. The Dublin branch welcomed Stayc back with a surprise! Pink is Stayc's favorite color; her office space was covered with pink balloons, flowers, and a yummy cake.

Stayc, we appreciate all of your efforts!

"Words are words, and I hear them a lot, but the true kindness and thoughtfulness that I’ve been shown over the past year is beyond anything I ever could have imagined!  I've never worked anywhere where the action clearly supports the words."

Meet Corporate Front Desk Administrator Martha Chea's dog Huncho. Huncho is a 1½ -year-old French Bulldog.

He enjoys camping, swimming, and the outdoors. Every time they go camping, he loves to sit in his chair and observe everything. He loves to go on walks; but can never manage to walk home, Martha ends up carrying him back home every time. Huncho also loves to crawl under the blanket for cuddles in the mornings!
