This week a profit projection training was held at the corporate office. There was over 40+ project management staff in this training, including: project managers, project engineers, project coordinators, superintendents, and branch managers, with every branch represented. Profit projections are the tool we use monthly to report our projected costs at time of project completion. The owners use this information to make present and future business decisions. This information also gets reported to our financial partners to secure lines of credit and future work.

LARRY'S WORLD
This section will focus on what's going on in our Prefab department led by Prefab Manager Larry Nelson.
| |
This week in Prefab, they have been working on a new method of shrink wrapping concrete boxes. The traditional method of taping the whole box around the bracket took upwards of 3-4 minutes. By shrink wrapping the boxes and only taping the front to prevent concrete entry, they can cut out build time down to less than 2 minutes per box. Once you pull the tape off, you just slit the plastic and you're ready for business. Right now, this works really well for boxes that are mounted on brackets. Prefab is working to get this method to work when you need a wire through the front of the box to hold it down. They are motivated to continue to work on cutting the times on builds while keeping an eye on quality.
