Greetings from East Lansing! The new academic year is off to a great start, as 6,849 students headed to campus for the next chapter of their Spartan Engineering journey. From MSU Family Weekend at the William A. Demmer Engineering Center, to our second space electronics boot camp, to the steady growth of our new Technology Engineering degree program, and the discovery of new ways AI can improve lives and help us prepare practice-ready engineers in all disciplines, there is so much to look forward to and celebrate.
We’re excited about our progress on the planned Engineering and Digital Innovation Center, which will bring together education, research, and career preparation. The convergence of experts from across six MSU colleges will create countless opportunities in engineering, materials science, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, data science, artificial intelligence and more. Stay tuned for updates on ways to get involved.
Our collaborative partnerships with industry and government continue to help us deliver the technology talent and innovation needed to drive Michigan's economy and beyond. We need only look to our engaged global alumni network to know that the impact of the Spartan Engineering experience knows no limits.
We hope the updates and success stories in this e-newsletter will inspire you to join us in supporting the exceptional students, faculty, staff, alumni, and collaborators who will reach important milestones and strive to make a meaningful difference for society in the coming year.
Thank you for all you do and best wishes for an enjoyable fall semester!
Go GREEN!
