Your Gifts to Community Investment make our Music Program Possible!
Many public schools have cut their fine arts offerings due to budget concerns. Our music programs at SPA thrive because of you! Without Community Investment, we would not be able to offer our students such an extensive experience in music education. Recently, Mr. Heyde, choir director and music theory teacher observed:
Music is a basic, fundamental part of every human culture, and Great Hearts believes that is essential, not elective, for all students to have a rich musical experience throughout their time at Scottsdale Prep.  Our students participate in choral and instrumental ensembles that bring them together and expose them to diverse cultural experiences while also developing their literacy in music theory.  Our alumni in the performing arts consistently tell us that they are much better prepared than their collegiate peers when beginning a career in the arts because of the importance that SPA places on music.  However, the best gift we give to our students through music is one of empathy, understanding and collegiality towards their fellow man.
We are grateful to each of our esteemed Music faculty who guide our students through our music curriculum which includes music theory, music history and musicianship. Our music curriculum also provides a meaningful performance experience, and we invite you to attend our Winter Music Concert this coming Monday, December 3rd at La Casa de Cristo Church.
The quality of education delivered at our school is only possible with your generous support of our Community Investment campaign.  We are honored to publicly recognize those families and friends who have contributed to the Community Investment  campaign.

We would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the American Heart Association for donating a CPR Training Kit to our school!

We will be able to use this kit to  help train our High School Students in the Spring (more details to come), as well as train and re-certify Faculty and Staff in the future!  Thank you American Heart!!
Thank you to all who are contributing to the offsite SPA Staff Holiday Party!  Special thank you to Chris Tooker and family for hosting this wonderful evening honoring the SPA staff.

Thank you to Julie Robertson and used uniform committee for the flash sweatshirt sale!

SAVE the Date for the next SPA PSO General Meeting:
