Hello Spartan Families!
The countdown is on—less than 40 hours until the first day of school! We can't wait to welcome your children back to our hallways.
Our building has been bustling with dedicated individuals over the summer, and the support we've received has been extraordinary. From our facilities and maintenance staff to parent and parish volunteers, as well as teachers and other staff, we are incredibly grateful. Our unique community of families continues to astound us! When you attend one of our upcoming Curriculum Night events (details below), you'll see the remarkable changes we've made.
This issue of Spartan News is filled with important updates. Be sure to read each section carefully, especially the BREAKING NEWS and Curriculum Night segments. Due to the significant growth of our school, we've decided to hold separate Curriculum Nights for Elementary and Middle School levels. We apologize for the last-minute change, but after careful consideration, we believe this is the best approach for our students and families.
Here are a few additional things you should know...
ALMA
ALMA is the online platform we use for grades/report cards. New families will receive an account activation email later this week. This activation link will expire in 7 days, so keep an eye out.
MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Students in grades 1-8 will attend the Mass of the Holy Spirit at Saint Martins University on Tuesday, September 12th. Permission slips will be sent home on the first day of school. Please return them ASAP.
FALL SPORTS
Flag Football (5th-8th grade) and Volleyball start the second week of school. To participate, students must have a current sports physical on file. Practice and game schedules will be sent out next week. Please contact our Athletic Director, Mrs. Graver (dgraver@stmikesolympia.org), with any questions/concerns.
PTSA ROOM REPS
We are still in need of volunteers for several grades. Becoming a Room Representative is a meaningful way to engage with your child’s educational experience and to collaborate with teachers and other parents. If you're interested, please fill out the interest form.
