Spartan Project SEARCH 2023-24 Cohort

The month of November marks the end of Rotation 1. The last ten weeks have been challenging but also filled with enjoyment. Interns have not only learned to travel to work, show up on time, and exhibit self-management but also specific job skills related to each department. They participated in two employment planning meetings where they learned to take in constructive criticism and set goals for themselves.

After returning from Thanksgiving break, interns spent time in the classroom updating their resumes, practicing interview skills with mock interviews and learning to travel new routes.

The beginning of December marks the start of Rotation 2. Interns are nervous and excited to see where they will be and what skills they will learn.

Project SEARCH Collaboration:

Graduates Training Interns

During Rotation 1, at Case Dining Hall, interns were given the opportunity to learn job tasks from not only peers but fellow Project SEARCH graduates. Having graduates train interns is a way to not only boost the confidence and provide ownership for the hired graduates but to also help the interns feel comfortable and inspired at what their end employment goal could look like.

Spartan Project SEARCH was selected to be featured on WILX Channel 10 News during its Schools Rule segment.

It was really exciting to have the reporter come out and film interns at work as well as interns having the opportunity to share what they have been doing.
