Welcome to November, Spartans! We are in the home stretch to winter break!
Homecoming Week in October was a Spartapalooza-themed celebration! The A.S. Programming Board facilitated Homecoming Royalty. Our winners are Haley Tang and CeeJay Fangonilo! Austin Nguyen and Jeanne Trang, as finalists, form part of the Homecoming Court.
Kudos to the winner of the Homecoming Door-Decorating Contest: A.S. Events, Human Resources and Marketing (located in Students Services Center) for winning first place amongst 35 department entries across campus. Fire on the Fountain, on its 13th year, drew yet another huge crowd of excited Spartans participating in the festivities!
Cynthia Fernandez-Rios is the new Chief Elections Officer (CEO) of our Students’ Election Commission (SEC). Cynthia, together with the SEC Officers, consultants and volunteers, will run the A.S. Elections in Spring 2020.
Congratulations to the 19 recipients of the
A.S. Scholarship 2019-2020. Students awarded a scholarship demonstrate exemplary leadership and involvement in campus and community life including: student organizations, campus committees, volunteerism, community and civic activism. Applications for the next round of scholarships will be accepted in Spring 2020!
The A.S. Programming Board and the A.S. Academic Affairs Committee are looking for students-at-large. Read up on committee descriptions
here and apply to the one you feel you can best serve on.
