Governor Abbott called a special legislative session that began July 8. One of the 11 topics he declared to be addressed is an expansion of the new Texas law, HB 3979, that censors students and teachers in public schools. The expansion bill is Senate Bill 3. (See what SB 3 would do.)

This Thursday the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee will hear SB 3, the Curriculum Whitewashing Bill, at the Texas Capitol. Individuals and organizations across the state rallied together to oppose HB 3979. It’s time to speak up again.
