2 Timothy 2:1-7 (KJV)
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

I must confess that I have refrained from writing lately as I HATE to be a preacher of “gloom and doom!”
I sincerely wish that applying lipstick to a pig makes a pig attractive!
Because my daughter Amanda adores the “prosperity preachers” I too often find myself forced to watch them while sitting with her.
How well do I remember several years ago when a big time “healer” was speaking in Atlanta.
Little Amanda dutifully noticed on the TV screen the date and address of the sheduled event and REALLY begged for us to take her there.
I did!
I drove her and her caregiver to the event, dropped them off in downtown Atlanta, and I, myself drove to the Varsity and enjoyed a chili dog, chili steak, fries AND onion rings, and a fried apple or peach pie.
I can point out the exact spot on I-75 we were traveling where I picked up on something.
I LOVE to tease and aggravate Amanda and as we drove home form the healing ministry Amanda was unresponsive and sullen........................
SHE WAS NOT HEALED!!! She REALLY BELIEVED she would be healed!!!!!!!!!!
I say this, not as criticism-I BELIEVE IN DIVINE HEALING!!!
JUST THE FACTS, JACK.
She was sad and disappointed to say the least.
When I awoke this morning, (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN) I wanted and NEEDED to post a sermon/message-I love preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ-THE ONLY TRUTH!
Beloved, WE HAVE TO BEGIN AGAIN PREACHING THE WHOLE BIBLE!!
This life is NOT an all expense paid cruise ship!!
The ONLY reason some people are living in luxury and ease is ONLY because of the blood and sweat and SACRIFICE of soldiers-
SOLDIERS OF THE CROSS AND FLESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY sincere PRAYER is and has been is that I, PERSONALLY “SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE MADNESS!”
