CKG in the Community

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Community Day that kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month and participated in our auction/raffle to raise money for our mental wellness programming! The auction/raffle raised over $2,000 thanks to your generosity!

We also had the opportunity to share our resources in the community including at Fairfield's 5th Annual All About Me Day Community Festival, the Richmond Flying Squirrels game, and several Spirit Nights.

CKG Featured in Style Weekly

We're excited to share that the CKG Foundation was featured in Style Weekly in an article about Mental Health Awareness Month!

SpeakUp Club Updates

We had so much fun visiting the SpeakUp Clubs this spring and are constantly inspired by the conversations the students are starting around campus! The students put together flower pots while we talked about growth and spreading positivity.

The SpeakUp5k was a vision created by Cameron. It is held annually in Richmond at Byrd Park, along with an option to participate virtually from anywhere in the world! It's an experience full of hope, light, and positivity for all ages and abilities. Participants encounter fun zones along the course along with the iconic Quote Alley, featuring quotes taken directly from Cameron’s journals.

Karting4CKG supports CKG and teen mental health. The event takes place on the Thursday before the MICHELIN GT CHALLENGE. Professional drivers pair with amateurs to compete for the fastest combined time around the world famous kart track at VIR in Danville, Virginia. The VIR Kart Track is a state-of-the-art 5/8 mile, 24-foot-wide paved circuit. The karts run ungoverned Honda GX 270cc motors capable of speeds in excess of 50 mph, the fastest speeds you’ll find for go-karts anywhere.

This is a competitive, inspiring, and fun event!
