March 2025

Message from Missy Minton

Executive Director, CKG Foundation

March is finally here and with it comes the symbolization of renewal. The foundation celebrates 11 years of delivering Cameron's mission on March 24th. As a team, we recognize that our own work must be renewed in how we approach mental health education, our relationship with donors, and our place in this much-loved community. To that end, we invite you to take a deeper look into the work we are delivering and get to know our incredibly passionate team. We are marching onward to the next decade.

For good,

Missy

Mental Health Education

February may have been a short month with lots of snow days, but that didn't stop us from our mission to SpeakUp in schools and beyond! We had two SpeakUp Club visits (Bell Creek Middle and Freeman High), taught workshops during the Collegiate Wellness Retreat, appeared on Virginia This Morning, and attended the student-led 1-mile run for mental health hosted by Godwin students.

In our SpeakUp Clubs, we encouraged students to practice self care and positivity as we launched the new Self Esteem and Body Image toolkit and journal. These free resources are available on our website.

This month, we are excited to share that the Resilience toolkit has received a refresh with new videos and activities, updated content, and accessibility tools. As always, our resources remain free thanks to our generous supporters.
