Bryony Gordon, the self-titled 'Mad Girl', to speak
ABTA is delighted to announce that Bryony Gordon, feature writer and columnist at The Telegraph and author of Mad Girl, a candid memoir about her struggles with OCD, depression, bulimia, alopecia and drug dependency, will speak at this year’s Travel Convention. On the day prior to World Mental Health Day on 10 October, Bryony, who launched her Mad World podcasts in 2017 with an interview with Prince Harry, will talk openly about her challenges and the positive role that travel plays in mental health and wellbeing.  
Convention Supper Club at Gourmet Food Market
With Wednesday evening kept free of official events, the Convention Supper Club is the perfect final opportunity for delegates to network, dine and relax with old and new acquaintances. Reservations are now being taken for the Supper Club, which will take place from 8pm to 10pm at the Mercado Lonja del Barranco – a gourmet food market, which features a host of stalls serving everything from tapas, cured meats and fresh seafood to cakes, cocktails and craft beer. Tickets cost just €40 + 10% Spanish VAT with numbers limited to just 80 places.

Football Match
The annual Travel Convention football match will see sponsors White Hart Associates take on First Data for the first time. The 11-a-side match will take place on Monday 8 October from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Sport Facilities Isla Cartuja, a complex located just five minutes away from the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento on an island in the Guadalquivir River. With transfers provided from both Convention hotels, players of all levels of ability are encouraged to join in along with supporters looking to cheer along their team. To sign up to play, email
