Due to a scheduling change with Mayor Monroe Nichols, Deputy Mayor Krystal Reyes will now join Ashley Philippsen, Executive Director of Impact Tulsa, for the fireside chat during the 13th Annual State of Our Children Address and Report Card Release. The event remains on February 26th at Theater at Innovation Square, 131 Chestnut Street, Rochester, NY 14604. Doors open up at 1:30pm. The program begins at 2pm.
Deputy Mayor Reyes is the first Latina to serve in this role in Tulsa’s history and brings deep expertise in education, youth development, and resilience strategies.
In her current position, Deputy Mayor Reyes oversees the City of Tulsa’s work in education, youth, and resilience. Prior to this appointment, she served for more than five years as Chief Resilience Officer, where she led the Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity, strengthening citywide strategies focused on resilience, equity, and inclusion.
Throughout her career in both local government and the nonprofit sector, Deputy Mayor Reyes has championed initiatives that expand early childhood education, improve access to services for families and immigrant communities, and cultivate strong, community driven partnerships. Her experience and leadership will add significant depth to the conversation and elevate the impact of this year's State of Our Children Address.
