Worship this Week
In-Person in the Courtyard
Last Sunday's service was amazing with the Bishop's visit, Mtr Regan's installation AND, coming together in-person!

We will continue our outdoor service this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the church courtyard. Remember, you must wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance from others at all times. You will need to check-in at the front gate, have your temperature taken, and sign-in. You may want to review the safety guidelines before Sunday.

If you're not ready to attend in person we hope that you will log-on to the Christ Church Facebook page to join us live. You do not have to have a Facebook account to view the live stream. We will be broadcasting in real-time so it will be just like you're here with us! If 10:00 a.m. is still a little early, you will be able to watch the service 24/7 after its conclusion.

Meet the New Senior Warden
Craig Blasingame
We are so pleased to introduce our new Senior Warden, Craig Blasingame. In accordance with the Vestry Manual - "The Senior Warden is the Rector’s Warden (i.e., the Rector’s right-hand person)." - a VERY important position.

Here's a little bit from Craig...

I am pleased and honored to have been called by our Mtr Regan to serve as your Sr. Warden. Please don’t hesitate to come to me with your concerns and suggestions. I prayerfully hope that we will be able to emerge from our COVID isolation stronger for our support and love of one another. I especially want us to have an opportunity to discern together and work to realize the goals that surfaced in our CAT and Listening Sessions last year. Keep those suggestions and comments coming.

My wife, Sue Steven and I have been members of this congregation for over 15 years. Our home is in the Cays. Sue and I are retired and love to bicycle and sail. We hope to see you on the bike path or out on the water. I have three children and Sue and I have four grandchildren, ages 4 to 24. Daughter, Amy Blasingame and her two children, Claire and Andrew Hurd live in the village and attend Christ Church.

I am retired from a career as a technical sales engineer for a large computer company. Prior to that, I was an officer in the NOAA Commissioned Corps making off-shore charts and doing oceanographic studies. I have a BS in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Temple University.

A Call to LIstenng
Listen to Learn = Listen to Love

Mrs. Whatsit, A Wrinkle in Time

Listening to a good story is one of the first ways we learn to listen. During Lent, families are invited to read A Wrinkle in Time together. We will gather on Zoom four times during Lent for conversation and creative activities related to the book.
Contact Charlette Preslar if you haven't received a book or information on the book study but would like to participate.
Parish Office Closure
Enhanced safety for staff
For the safety of our staff. the parish office will remain closed to the public until after Easter This means that only staff may be in the building. There is a basket with bulletins and formation resources by the front door, so don't hesitate to stop by to make a pick-up! However, we will be unable to let anyone inside. The phone will continue to be answered during office hours from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and all of the staff may be reached via email! In a pastoral emergency, you may contact Mtr. Regan Schutz (503) 915-5755 or Deacon Tom Morelli (619) 838-3218. Here is a link to our contact page.
